Membership of the NZR Staff Welfare Trust is available to the following groups:
Group A: for qualifying employees of various employers working within the rail industry.
Membership provides access to:
- Payments under the Benefit Schedule
- Extended Health Plan (optional)
- Group Life Plan (optional)
- Holiday Accommodation
Subscription fee:
- $ 8.50 per week.
Group B: for former Group A members who are no longer working in the rail industry and meet the membership criteria (i.e. they were Group A members for at least 5 years).
Membership provides access to:
- Holiday Accommodation
Subscription fee:
- $ 55 per annum ($20 discount for Gold Card holders)
Group C: for members of the Rail & Maritime Transport Union who are not employed within the rail industry.
Membership provides access to:
- Holiday Accommodation
Subscription fee:
- $ 55 per annum ($20 discount for Gold Card holders)
